About 6500 Montevideo Road — The Parkview Condos
The unassuming brown stucco exterior at 6500 Montevideo Road was built in 1984, before glass-clad skyscrapers became the norm. Camelion Investments Ltd. is the developer behind the Parkview Condos, a residential, mid-rise edifice that reaches to just 12 storeys and contains 161 homes.
While countless residents have called 6500 Montevideo home over the years, today the building is home to a particularly young population — most residents are under the age of 50, and there are plenty of families living in the building. Catering to this active demographic is the lengthy list of amenities at the Parkview Condos: the building boasts a party room, games room, squash court, gym, sauna, and underground parking with visitor spots.
The Suites
Homes at 6500 Montevideo range considerably in size, with the smallest perfect for single professionals or couples, and the larger homes ideal for families. Suites start at around 800 and reach to approximately 1,400 square feet, and contain one bedroom, two bedrooms, three bedrooms, or three bedrooms plus a den. Condo seekers can choose between homes with one or two bathrooms, and many contain separate living and dining rooms
The Neighbourhood
Mississauga may be Canada’s 6th largest city, and yet the Meadowvale West neighbourhood is about as peaceful as it gets. Just behind 6500 Montevideo, for example, is Lake Aquitaine Park, an enormous green space with (as the name suggests) a lake in its centre. The park also contains a community centre and a library, and it’s directly connected to Maplewood Park and Hunter’s Green to the north.
Between Meadowvale Town Centre and Battleford Centre, residents have plenty of options for shopping and eating out. The former commercial centre is home to a Metro, a Canadian Tire, and a Shoppers Drug Mart, while the latter contains a No Frills and a handful of restaurants.
Transportation
With the 401, the 403, the 407, and the QEW so close at hand, drivers living at the Parkview Condos have no trouble getting around. As for residents without cars of their own, there’s a bus stop conveniently located outside the building, on Montevideo Road. The 48 Erin Mills Road MiWay bus makes a stop here before making its way along Erin Mills Parkway, and residents can even use this bus to reach the Meadowvale Town Centre in just 7 minutes.
