About 1 Rainsford Road — One Rainsford
The One Rainsford Condos, created by the Riedel Group in partnership with Mitchell Lofts, are home to spectacularly upscale residences in the charming Beaches neighbourhood, just west of Woodbine Road. Sitting on Queen Street East and home to retail businesses at street level, at 1 Rainsford Road the state-of-the-art contemporary design by Richard Ziegler Architects can’t help but entice many prospective buyers.
Completed in 2013, the One Rainsford Condos building is spread out over half of an entire city block, yet reaches only to a humble 6 storeys tall. The bright natural stone and charcoal brick exterior projects a sophisticated grandeur, regardless of its mid-rise stature. Complementing this well, the also building boasts stunning massive windows scattered throughout its façade.
Moreover, along bustling Queen East, the structure features deep set balconies with gleaming glass balustrades. Any passersby looking down quiet Rainsford Road will notice the way the structure is tiered, with each level adorned with spacious terraces. Ultimately, this all culminates in a grand rooftop terrace that’s partitioned and allotted to those living in 1 Rainsford’s penthouse suites. Rather than metal or wooden fences, lush greenery serves as the dividers, which are known as “living green walls” according to Ziegler Architects.
While the building doesn’t offer an enormous array of amenities, many prospective buyers are able to overlook this detail. There’s simply so much else to distract them: expansive private outdoor spaces, technological innovations like smartphone controlled blinds, as well as the building’s substantial sustainability features. And best of all, prospective homeowners will be happy to hear that the maintenance fees for this building sit lower than the average for east end Toronto condos.
The Suites
A boutique building, the One Rainsford Condos contains just 28 suites. Their sizes span approximately 1,000 to 3,300 square feet, and consist of one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom floor plans with creative layouts — some of which are even spread out over two storeys.
Regardless of whichever Toronto condos for sale best serves a prospective homeowner’s needs, they all feature engineered wood flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows. Additionally, the open concept kitchens give these suites a contemporary feel, all the while taking advantage of their warm natural lighting.
Finally, the private balconies and terraces onto which 1 Rainsford’s living spaces extend are outfitted with gas lines for barbecues. And considering the treetop views and the fresh of the air in the Beaches Triangle neighbourhood, those living in the One Rainsford Condos can certainly host some splendid summer get-togethers.
The Neighbourhood
For those who don’t feel like hosting friends and family in their spacious suites all the time, residents can instead head out to one of the many delicious local eateries nearby, many of which can be found on Queen East. Although there’s a diverse array of eclectic restaurants and cafés in the area, a recurring theme in this part of the Beaches is happens to be barbecue, which shouldn’t be surprising at all considering the sprawling natural landscapes in the neighbourhood.
A short walk down Woodbine leads to the sandy shores of the Balmy Beaches. Once beach season begins, this spot is home to an exciting scene, no matter how one likes to spend their spare time: gathering with friends and families for a picnic is always an option, as is spending all day lounging in the sun, or even taking a dip into Lake Ontario.
Transportation
Those living at 1 Rainsford who drive will get to know Woodbine Avenue quite well. Its fast-paced traffic leads drivers south to the even speedier Lakeshore Boulevard. From here, the downtown core can be reached in no time. Additionally, Lakeshore provides access onto an onramp for both the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway, both of which often take less than ten minutes to reach from the One Rainsford Condos.
And for those who prefer to travel by public transit, the 92 Woodbine Bus and the 512 Queen Streetcar stop steps away from the building, at the intersection of Queen East and Woodbine. The 92 Bus takes riders north and south throughout the Beaches — a quick way to reach Woodbine Station on the Bloor Danforth line. The 512 Streetcar, on the other hand, runs east and west across the city and proves quite convenient when venturing into the city centre.
