About 100 Echo PointThe Glenhurst Condos

A residence with time-tested value — 100 Echo point was constructed in 1976, and this Scarborough condo has been a desirable landing spot for first time home buyers ever since.

The building stands 23 storey tall, clad in red brick, and lined by oversized concrete balconies. While The Glenhurst Condos won’t win any awards for architecture, it would be a mistake to overlook this condo based on its exterior; residents enjoy great amenities, including an indoor pool, saunas, a fitness centre, a kid’s playground, tennis courts, underground parking, and a concierge service.

The combination of low price per square foot and large suite sizes makes these Toronto condos for sale an excellent choice for investors, or for families who need room to grow.

    The Suites

There are no small suites at 100 Echo Point; homes begin at just under 1000 square feet for the smallest 2 bedroom plus den layouts and can be as large as 1500 square feet for a 3 bedroom home.

Kitchens are large and open to dining rooms — some suites have had their floor plans completely opened up. Cabinets are wide and countertops offer plenty of prep space. Full sized appliances are perfect for home chefs, and many units have upgraded appliances.

Most suites have hardwood flooring in principal rooms, though, older finishes are possible. Bedrooms are large and closet space is abundant.

    The Neighbourhood

100 Echo point is situated in the L'Amoreaux neighbourhood; this quiet, family area is centered around the intersection of Finch Ave E and Warden Ave, and offers convenient shopping and dining, and countless green spaces. There are few boutiques in the neighbourhood, however, residents can drive to Pacific Mall or CF Fairview Mall in roughly 10 minutes.

Residents of The Glenhurst Condos have a great locale for dining out; Bridlewood Mall is on the opposite side of Warden and hosts a variety of restaurants like Fisherman Lobster King, Mr. Congee Chinese Cuisine for international dishes, and well known fast food chains like McDonald’s and Tim Hortons. Additional dining options are located on Finch Ave E and to the north on McNicoll Ave.

For nature and recreation — Bridletowne Park is just steps away, and L'Amoreaux Sports Complex is only 10 minutes away on foot; this sprawling complex has acres of parklands, sports fields, athletic facilities, walking paths and a waterpark.

Nightlife is an afterthought in L’Amoreaux, though condo residents can get a drink with their meal at DY Bar, and Cage Karaoke is northwest of the neighbourhood.

    Transportation

Residents of 100 Echo point will probably need a vehicle more often than not; grocery runs can be accomplished on foot at the nearby Metro — and there’s a Dollarama next door — but all other errands will require some travel time.

Commuting to downtown Toronto via public transit could be challenging for condo residents. There are nearby bus stops on Warden and Finch, but the nearest GO station is roughly a 30 minute bus ride away at Agincourt GO.

Driving might be the preferred method of travel here, because it’s only a 5 minute drive west on Finch for the 404.
