The allure of the industrial architecture that fills Liberty Village is a great place to start, for those who need assistance. Here, options for spending a day include browsing various furniture and design shops, sitting down to brunch, and even watching a soccer match at Lamport Stadium.
Alternatively, a walk up to Queen West promised sights and smells that are to die for. Some of the city’s best chefs have gravitated to this area in recent years — especially on Ossington just north of Queen. Independent and vintage boutiques are also abundant, as are book stores, home goods, and independent and specialty food shops.
As for those craving green space, Joseph Workman Park is just around the corner. However, since this park is quite small, we better mention that the expansive (and beloved) Trinity Bellwoods is also a short walk away. Here, residents can bring pets to the off-leash dog bowl, take a swim in the indoor pool, or even play a match of tennis or two.
Even grocery shopping is a breeze; it takes residents about 10 minutes to walk to the Metro in Liberty Village, while the Frescho at Queen and Gladstone takes the same amount of time to reach.
Transportation
Moving about is simple when one lives at the King West Village Condos. This is because the building is located directly between to major arterial roads, each of which contains streetcar tracks as well. Those without cars can ride east in order to catch the subway — at Osgoode when using Queen Street or St. Andrew when heading along King.
Drivers can use these two streets as well, but they might want to head south to the Gardiner Expressway for even speedier travel. From here, one can ride along the southern edge of the city with ease, or they might want to connect onto the 427 to the west or the Don Valley Parkway to the east.
