About 170 Avenue Road — Pears on the Avenue Condos
Pears on the Avenue is a luxury building, so say the very least. Anyone who needs proof can just head past the front doors and into the lobby, which covers three levels. Here, a grand, sculptural staircase allows residents can reenact scenes from Beauty and the Beast or the Titanic.
Located at 127-170 Avenue Road in the Yorkville neighborhood, the façade of Pears on the Avenue is mainly made up of glass, with some stone and brick holding it all together. The edifice reaches to a comfortable 20 storeys — just tall enough to stand out, yet not tall enough to feel obtrusive
Menkes Developments is responsible for the construction of 127-170 Avenue Road, which was completed back in 2015. The building is home to not only 175 luxury condos, but an array of top-of-the-line amenities as well.
Residents have access to a gym, plus an indoor lap pool with plenty of space to lounge after (or instead of) taking a dip. A concierge is also available to make life easier for residents.
After a long day, residents can relax and entertain themselves without leaving the building, whether this involves using the theatre, yoga studio, terrace with fireplace and garden, or even the party room. Additionally, visitors who lose track of time can even spend the night in one of the building’s guest suites.

The suites range from around 500 to 3,500 square feet, with the largest containing plenty of space for pets, visiting relatives, or even art collections and libraries.
Regardless of size, the interiors at 127-170 Avenue are all exquisite, thanks to designs by Munge/Leunge. Polished hardwood floors contrast subtly with robust columns, while floor-to-ceiling windows are all the more dramatic in corner units.

Commonly, kitchens flow freely into dining and living areas, allowing home chefs using their stainless steel appliances and generous islands a chance to chat with their guests or watch TV while they prep a meal.
Ceilings are generous, reaching to 9 feet. Spacious bathtubs offer residents a great way to relax, while those who are most at ease in the great outdoors will enjoy spending as much time as possible on their terraces or balconies.
