About 200 Manitoba Street — Mystic Pointe - Skylofts II
The Skylofts II are like a building, within a city, within a city, within Toronto. First, these modern soft lofts are part of the Mystic Pointe complex, a gated community created by David Feldman and his team at Camrost Felcorp which includes Warehouse Lofts at Mystic Pointe and The Warehouse Lofts | Mystic Pointe; then consider that Mystic Pointe is located in Mimico, a west end Toronto community that has a life of its own.
So while there are endless activities to keep you occupied in Toronto, and while within Toronto, Mimico has some exciting features, it might be hard to believe that Mystic Pointe also has enough amenities to entertain its residents for days on end.
The complex boasts the following lineup of facilities for residents of the three buildings to share: a gym, sauna, rooftop terrace with hot tub and barbecues, squash courts, a garden, party and meeting room, billiards, and guest suites. Oh, and of course there’s ample visitor parking for friends and family who want to get in on all the fun too.
The Skylofts II consists of 206 units spread out over 6 storeys, and its construction was completed in 2002. Although these lofts lie a little west of the downtown core, most of its residents would agree that the financial savings that come with Toronto condos for sale here make the commute worth every minute.
The Suites
The units at the Skylofts II are ideal for buyers with a range of needs — from a bachelor pad for a single young professional to a home for a retired couple to unwind in. Sizes vary from approximately 600 to 1,400 square feet, and lofts feature either one or two bedrooms.
These lofts are especially bright, thanks to the natural sunlight that pours in through walls made entirely of windows. Plus, these windows often span the length of two normal-sized storeys, particularly as they climb up to the top of the 17-foot ceilings.
Every unit at 200 Manitoba Street features a balcony, except for first floor homes that boast ground floor patios. The lofts are also all equipped with fireplaces, and some multi-storey lofts are laid out in a mezzanine style, with bedrooms upstairs.
The Neighbourhood
In terms of Toronto suburbs, the lakeside vibes of Mimico can’t be beat. In fact, one of the best things about living here is the choice of parks to enjoy Lake Ontario from: Mimico Waterfront Park, Humber Bay Park, and even Sunnyside, are all within reach.
Mimico isn’t lacking in eclectic food options either. Residents of 200 Manitoba Street might want to head over to Universal Bakery to grab some homemade perogies before they’re all gone. Quebec-style bistro Café du Lac serves up Montreal bagels and crepes, but brunch isn’t the only time to go — this place makes a great spot for a dinner date in Mimico.
Local shops and restuarants can be found along Lake Shore Boulevard and Royal York Road, while larger chains are plentiful as well. Costco and Ikea can be reached from Mystic Pointe in about 5 minutes by car.
Transportation
Traveling into downtown Toronto is simple by any means of transportation. Residents can access the Mimico GO Station via a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, the Lake Shore bus will land passengers at Union Station, or the Royal York bus at the Bloor-Danforth subway line.
Drivers using the Gardiner Expressway or Lake Shore Boulevard can reach downtown Toronto in approximately 10 minutes, while the drive to Pearson International Airport is about the same distance.
