About 217 Roslin Avenue — 217 Roslin
Branching off of a charming, tree-lined cul-de-sac, the residences at 217 Roslin Avenue are set amidst some of midtown Toronto’s most impressive natural landscapes. Buyers interested in living in this enviable spot need to act quickly, though — there are just a few exclusive luxury condos in the building. Built by Roslin Holdings Limited in 2004, 217 Roslin is home to a truly intimate community.
The property that houses the 217 Roslin townhomes is enchanting in its own right, especially since it’s nestled into a private enclave. However the building itself is rather humble: it spans 3 stories, and rises to just 10 metres tall. The façade is timeless and traditional, yet it manages to feel fresh thanks to some sophisticated details from the top all the way down. For example, a series of dormer windows with elegant arched frames is set into the rooftop’s dark shingles, while dark, distinguished metal railings adorn Juliet Balconies.
The second level features even more outdoor space, in the form of alcoves where residents can often be found lounging on sunny summer days. At street level, the development features two direct entrances for every townhome: a doorway and a private garage. And to top it all off, lavish lintels decorate these entryways, setting the tone for what will be found inside.
Considering all the work the developers put into the building’s design, it’s unsurprising that residents have responded by carefully cultivating their own front gardens. Although these homes don’t boast access to an extensive set of amenities, between the grounds and their gardens, plus the exciting surrounding neighbourhood, residents find themselves more than satisfied.
The Suites
Comprising a cozy collection of ten townhome suites, the Toronto condos for sale at 217 Roslin Ave are much sought-after, especially considering all the living space provided by these homes. Each unit spans three levels, and covers around 2,500 square feet. And with the many windows placed throughout these townhomes, along with their multiple private balconies, the atmosphere throughout the homes proves to be bright and airy as well.
Perhaps best suited for families, 10 suites contain three bedrooms and five bathrooms, not to mention spacious kitchens with top-of-the-line appliances. Families interested in the building will also be impressed by the friendly Yonge and Lawrence neighbourhood in which it’s situated.
The Neighbourhood
The serene blocks the surrounding this private enclave consist mostly of residences, along with the Rosedale Golf Club to the north and Wanless Park to the south. The former proves quite popular with families living in the area: Wanless Park contains a splash pad, a playground, and grassy fields with a baseball diamond. Moreover, this park is also home to the Wanless Park Tennis Club, boasting five outdoor courts.
Even still, 217 Roslin is not far from a bustling urban area. An exciting commercial scene can be found along Yonge Street, about a ten-minute walk down the street. In addition to the many boutique shops and services on Yonge, those living in 217 Roslin Ave will also find an eclectic array of eateries. This includes a plethora of delightful cafés and restaurants, as well as a Starbucks right across the street from where Roslin meets Yonge.
Transportation
Yonge is also quite the popular route for the residents since it leads to the closest subway station. Lawrence Station, where Lawrence Avenue meets Yonge, takes just around 15 minutes to reach on foot.
Alternatively, residents can also hop onto the 124 Bus, which makes frequent stops around the corner at Ronan Avenue as it moves along Lawrence East. For those curious as to why the 124 runs so often, it has to do with the fact that this route provides access to Sunnybrook Hospital, located off of Bayview Avenue and a few blocks southeast of the townhomes.
Finally, for residents who prefer to travel by car, the traffic on midtown’s relatively wider roadways moves well. When destinations are outside the city itself, drivers have a choice: they can head north on either Yonge or Bayview in order to reach the 401. From this highway, Pearson International Airport is also just a short ride away.
