About 2464 Weston Road — Weston On The Humber
Torontonians looking for a peaceful place to call home often know to look outside of the downtown core. Weston On The Humber would fit the bill for this subset of prospective resident, thanks to its laid-back locale and modest aesthetic.
Arten Developments created the 10-storey condo at 2464 Weston Road back in 2007, resulting in 162 new homes for future Weston residents. Inside the concrete and glass façade, residents can be found working up a sweat in the gym, entertaining in the party room, or relaxing on the terrace and overlooking the ravine below. In addition to all of these amenities, 2464 Weston is also equipped with underground parking, including visitor spots as well.
The Suites
Prospective residents can expect to find studio, one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, and two bedroom Toronto condos at 2464 Weston. With homes in the building spanning anywhere from 300 to 900 square feet, large families may have to look elsewhere.
Even without being enormously sized, the Toronto condos for sale at Weston on the Humber are bright and warm thanks to hardwood flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows. Those who want the feel of a house can opt for a ground level unit, which offers direct street access.
The Neighbourhood
Set just east of the Humber River and south of the 401, 2464 Weston offers the best of both worlds for those living in the building. The river is an attraction itself, thanks to the public parks and hiking trails situated along its shores. The condo backs right onto Crawford-Jones Memorial Park, while Cruickshank Park, Weston Lions Park, and Pine Point Park are great options as well. The latter is even home to an indoor ice hockey rink, an outdoor swimming pool, and a tennis club.
When residents of 2464 Weston need to shop, there are also plenty of options in the immediate area. The Crossroads Centre, for one, is located just across Weston Road, where shoppers can visit LCBO, the Brick, Canadian Tire, Best Buy, or Pet Valu. The massive Real Canadian Superstore on Weston also makes life easier for those hoping to get their grocery shopping done without having to visit more than one store. And last but not least, those in need of a wardrobe update, on the other hand, can reach Yorkdale Mall in less than 10 minutes by car or just over 30 by bus.
Transportation
Living so close to the 401 undoubtedly has its perks for residents who drive: the Weston Road on-ramp is just a few short blocks north of Weston on the Humber. This location makes a trip to Pearson International Airport take less than 10 minutes (when traffic cooperates), while it takes just around 30 minutes to drive to the Entertainment District.
Funnily enough, it takes around the same amount of time to reach Union Station via public transit than it does to drive. With the Weston GO/UP Station just a short drive or bus ride away from 2464 Weston, residents can travel into the city centre or out of Toronto altogether with ease. And residents need only cross Weston Road in order to reach the stop for the 59 Maple Leaf bus, which transports passengers to Lawrence West Station on the University-Spadina subway line.
