About 3 Michael Power PlacePalais at Port Royal Place

The Palais at Port Royal Place took a small army to create: Pemberton Group was in charge of the development process, BURKA Architects the building’s design, and NAK Design Group the landscaping. Completed in 2012, the resulting tower at 3 Michael Power Place reaches to 30 storeys and contains 261 Etobicoke condos.

Prospective residents in search of one of those all-inclusive buildings have come to the right place, as 3 Michael Power Place is equipped with more than enough amenities to go around. To start, there’s a concierge and visitor parking, which benefits both residents and their guests. Then there are the communal spaces that encourage a healthy lifestyle filled with rest and relaxation, such as the indoor pool, sauna, and movie theatre. And last but not least, there’s also a sizeable fitness centre on site at Palais at Port Royal Place.

    The Suites

Toronto condos for sale at 3 Michael Power Place come in many shapes and sizes. One bedroom homes start at around 580 square feet, with one bedroom plus den, two bedrooms, two bedrooms plus den also found throughout the building. Those hoping to raise a large family might want to look elsewhere, however, as the largest suites cover approximately 1,050 square feet.

The homes at 3 Michael Power Place manage to feel contemporary yet anything but cold. The floor-to-ceiling windows don’t hurt, ushering bright, warm sunlight into every corner of the suites. Granite countertops, ceramic tile backsplashes, and kitchen islands are common throughout the building, and many units happen to contain balconies as well.

    The Neighbourhood

The Islington & City Centre West neighbourhood is a great alternative to the downtown core. Also a central business district, those looking for a home in a neighbourhood that’s less dense, yet just as industrious, have come to the right place.

Residents can get in touch with the neighbourhood’s history by embarking on a self-guided tour along Dundas Street West. Between Islington and Kipling, more than 20 murals proudly display moments, people, and places from the area’s past. And while the eclectic array of restaurants on Dundas are tempting, those craving a healthy, home-cooked meal can head over to the Sobeys Urban Fresh at Bloor and Islington in order to pick up all of the ingredients they need.

Another selling point for Islington and City Centre West is all the green space that occupies the neighbourhood. Residents living at 3 Michael Power have their pick between nearby spots like Michael Power Park and Kenway Park, or they can travel slightly farther in order to reach Tom Riley Park or Centennial Park.

    Transportation

Living at 3 Michael Power Place is convenient for residents who drive, as well as those who prefer to use public transit to get around. Islington Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line takes just 10 minutes to reach on foot, and from there Bloor and Yonge is a 30-minute ride away.

As for those who drive, the building is about equidistant from two major highways: the Gardiner Expressway and the 427. The former is useful for zipping toward the city centre in a hurry, while the latter can be used to reach Pearson International Airport or the 401 in no time.
