About 38 Iannuzzi Street — Fortune at Fort York
Those who live at Fortune at Fort York are fortunate, for lack of a better word. These luxury condos at 65 Grand Magazine Street are impressive, to say the least, thanks to the expertise of developers at Onni Group and architects at Page + Steele/IBI Group.
Constructed in 2018, 65 Grand Magazine contains 511 suites spread out over 32 storeys. In addition to the high-end homes situated throughout the building, residents also have access to a generous array of amenities. For example, not only is the hotel-like lobby staffed by a 24-hour concierge available, but it’s also equipped with a “wifi café,” allowing residents and their guests to sit back, relax, and enjoy a coffee before heading out.
Active types will love that the gym at 65 Grand Magazine boasts an outdoor fitness area that extends onto the roof, as well as a yoga studio, steam room, sauna, hot tubs and change rooms. Those who want to spend time outside in a more leisurely manner can head to the condo’s outdoor bocce court and putting green, located on the 3rd floor. Pet owners are also taken care of, as the building contains its own off-leash dog area.
But that’s not all: residents of Fortune at Fort York also have access to an outdoor lounge with fireplaces and barbecues, party room with a kitchen and bar, movie theatre, lounge, meeting room, and guest suites.
The Suites
Ranging from studios to three bedroom homes, the suites at 65 Grand Magazine cover anywhere from 350 to 1,100 square feet. The building is comprised of both condos and Toronto townhouses, offering even more choice to those interested in Fortune at Fort York.
While sizes and layouts vary from unit to unit, many of the same features are repeated throughout the building. Homes contain laminate or engineered hardwood flooring, for example, and ceilings that reach up to 10.5 feet. Windows are double glazed and engineered to keep sound out and heat in, plus they provide UV protection. Kitchens boast stone, stainless steel, chrome, and marble features, plus stainless steel KitchenAid appliances, with the exception of GE Energy Star dishwashers.
Prospective residents can expect to find dramatic views of Lake Ontario and Fort York National Historic Site, and larger homes with wraparound balconies offer not one but two vantage points. Then there are the ground-level homes, whose gas hookups for barbecues make up for the lack of a view.
The Neighbourhood
Named for the Fort York National Historic Site, the location of the master-planned community known as Fort York is near perfect. The neighbourhood sits just north of waterfront green spaces like Coronation Park, as well as the Martin Goodman Trail. Living in Fort York is convenient, whether prospective residents plan to drive, walk, cycle, or ride public transit. The 509 Exhibition streetcar and Bathurst streetcar aids residents in heading east and west or north and south, respectively. Those heading out of town can also reach the Exhibition GO station in just 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes via streetcar, and Union Station is a 20-minute ride away on the streetcar.
