About 5 Northtown Way — Triomphe Condos
The sheer size of 5 Northtown Way is a triumph — pun intended. Built back in 2002, this 29-storey, 339-unit condo was dubbed the Triomphe Condos by its oh so confident developers at Tridel.
Residents don’t only opt for a home at 5 Northtown Way because of the increased potential for meeting new friends in the lobby, though. Those in search of an all-inclusive building are quickly won over by Triomphe’s long list of amenities. Residents have access to an indoor pool, a tennis court, a gym, a sauna, a concierge, and underground parking.
The Suites
With homes ranging from approximately 550 to 2,500 square feet, there’s truly Toronto condos for sale for everyone at 5 Northtown Way. Single professionals or couples looking for a budget-friendly option can opt for one of the building’s studios or one bedroom homes; those in need of a home office can check out the one bedroom plus den units; and even sizeable families find the two bedroom, two bedroom plus den, or three bedroom suites comfortable.
The vast number of units at 5 Northtown Way also means plenty of unique layouts to choose from. Living rooms throughout the building are bright thanks to large windows, some of which are even situated across rounded walls.
The Neighbourhood
Willowdale is a particularly dense North York neighbourhood, with over 80,000 residents living between Bathurst Street and Bayview Avenue, and the 401 to Finch. The area is also a great representation of Toronto’s multicultural nature, as more than half of Willowdale’s residents were born outside of Canada.
The main commercial strip in Willowdale can be found along Yonge Street, between Sheppard and Finch. Also known as Koreatown North, this strip of Yonge is home to countless restaurants serving up everything from homemade dumplings and kimchi to Korean barbecue and bibimbap.
About 6 blocks south of 5 Northtown Way is a small indoor shopping centre called Empress Walk. Besides visiting this mall for the Loblaws that takes over its lower level, Empress Walk is also home to an LCBO, a Best Buy, a PetSmart, and a Cineplex Cinemas. And when residents feel like getting some fresh air, they can choose between walking 5 minutes to Northtown Park or driving for 15 minutes in order to reach the enormous Earl Bales Park.
Transportation
Living at 5 Northtown means never having to drive, should a resident choose to do so. The building is equidistant from Finch and North York Centre subway stations, both of which are located on the Yonge line. This means that the trip down to Union Station takes about 40 minutes from the Triomphe Condos — less time than it takes to drive during peak hours.
Drivers, on the other hand, benefit from living so close to the 401. A quick drive south down Yonge will land residents at an on ramp, at which point they can choose to head east or west. The 401 can be used to reach nearby southbound highways like the Don Valley Parkway or the Allen Expressway, or to reach Pearson International Airport, destinations in Scarborough and Mississauga, or neighbouring towns and cities.
