About 5 Rosehill Avenue — 5 Rosehill
The conveniently located condos at 5 Rosehill Avenue are ideal for families or single buyers looking for a place to settle down in midtown Toronto. Just two blocks south of Yonge and St. Clair, the building is a modern low-rise edifice with a tasteful façade of red brick, glass and white stone.
Built in 1997, 5 Rosehill Avenue holds 93 Toronto condos, which are spread out over 7 storeys. The condos are, quite literally, right in the center of the city. A trip to The Danforth, going down to The Ex at the end of each summer, or visiting Yorkdale Mall anything but arduous for residents living at 5 Rosehill.
Amenities include a gym and exercise room, a multi-purpose party room as well as a separate conference room. Residents also have access to a concierge and security, while underground parking is available for both residents and visitors.
Additionally, retail spaces are conveniently located on the ground floor of the building, inhabited by a Starbucks for those who require a strong coffee to kick off their mornings.
Of course the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood has its own ample supply of parks, shopping and restaurants. With its modern yet comfortable living experience, the value in residing here is difficult to beat.
The Suites
Modern yet intimate would properly describe Toronto condos for sale at 5 Rosehill Avenue, which come in a variety of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms suites. Some units can have an additional den or half bathroom, and they range widely, from 425 to 2503 square feet.
5 Rosehill Avenue’s comfortable floor plans feature modern furnishings, hardwood floors, and tiled bathrooms and kitchens with breakfast bars. Balconied units offer views of the street below, or alternatively of the building’s courtyard to the south-east of the property, which features a landscaped garden and lounge area. And for those really lucky residents, balconies found on corner units can be as large as 600 square feet!
The Neighbourhood
These condos are found in the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood in an area often referred to as Deer Park. Fun fact about Deer Park: The neighborhood was originally called ‘Mushquoteh’ by the indigenous people, meaning a place where deer come to eat.
The “heart” of Toronto can be endlessly debated, but its center will always be Yonge Street. And living on Yonge right at the sweet-spot between downtown and midtown Toronto simply cannot be beat. The location makes it a prime spot for Torontonians looking to be close to the action, but not necessarily in the thick of it.
Heading out on the town? There are an abundance restaurants around the Deer Park neighborhood, ranging from Scaramouche (one of Toronto’s best upscale French eateries) to local, casual joints. There are also several pubs and bars in the area, as well as book shops and boutiques for shopping, and hardware stores, banks and pharmacies for day-to-day errands. And for rainy days, a Cineplex is located just one block south.
The area has quite a range of parks as well. Nearby are small green spaces like Lionel Conacher Park, the large Ramsden Park (with a skating rink, wading pool and baseball diamond), or the enormous David A. Balfour Park, which is just a three-minute walk from the condo.
The building is also close to several public and private schools like Deer Park, The York School, McKinsey International College, and Jarvis Collegiate Institute.
Transportation
The St Clair Subway Station is a short walk away, located just one block north of 5 Rosehill Avenue. Street cars can be used to ride east or west along St. Clair, thanks to the stop it makes on Yonge Street, while TTC buses travel north and south along Yonge late into the night.
For drivers, the nearest highway is the Don Valley Parkway with access on Bayview Avenue, and of course Yonge can always be used to travel to the north or south borders of Toronto.
Bike routes are close by, while trails through David Balfour Park can be used to connect with the Beltline Trail.
