    The black and white layers that make up the high rise at 56 Annie Craig Drive are slightly off-set, calling to mind the early stages of a game of Jenga. The playful design of the Lago at the Waterfront Condos was created by Graziani + Corazza Architects, with the building constructed in 2017 by Mattamy Homes.

    The 50-storey tower contains more than just 448 Toronto condos — it’s also home to a generous lineup of amenities, collectively known as the Lago Club. These common spaces are shared with those who live in Riva del Lago, however there’s more than enough to go around: residents have access to a gym, sauna, indoor pool, hot tub, games room, party room, theatre, guest suites, and pet washing station.

    The Suites

    With suites ranging from around 375 to 1,650 square feet, 56 Annie Craig Drive may not be suited to residents with huge families. That said, everything from studio suites to homes with three bedrooms plus dens can be found here, meaning it’s certainly possible to raise a couple of kids in the building.

    The interior design at 56 Annie Craig Dr is both simple and functional, allowing residents to personalize their homes to their own unique tastes. Some features found throughout the building include single-plank laminate and tiled flooring, granite or composite quartz countertops, and deep, oversized stainless steel sinks.     This may sound strange, but Mimico contains like a healthy blend of Eastern European and South Beach vibes. The Humber Bay Shores district is in the middle of a renaissance, with soaring condo towers and contemporary restaurants popping up at an impressive speed. To the west, longstanding European delis and bakeries provide the perfect contrast to all this growth.

    Another great thing about living in Mimico is the neighbourhood’s abundance of lakeside green space. Between Humber Bay Park East and West, the Butterfly Garden, and Humber Bay Shores Park, there’s no shortage of picnic spots for residents living at 56 Annie Craig Dr. And those who prefer to spend time out in the open waters can always join the Mimico Cruising Club or the Etobicoke Yacht Club, both of which are situated within Humber Bay Park West.

    As for the commercial offerings in the area, Mimico residents are lucky to live within close reach of both Costco and IKEA. Sherway Gardens is also a short drive away from Lago at the Waterfornt. The massive shopping centre is home to countless fashion and specialty shops, plus a number of restaurants.

    Transportation

    Mimico may feel worlds apart from downtown Toronto, but that doesn’t mean the city centre is difficult to reach. For one, the 501 Queen Streetcar can be reached by walking just 10 minutes from 56 Annie Craig Dr. There’s also the option to take the subway: residents can use the 66 bus to reach Old Mill Station on the Bloor-Danforth line, with the entire journey taking approximately 20 minutes. Those who need to make their way toward the downtown core in a hurry can start at the Mimico GO Station, from which Union can be reached in just 15 minutes.

    Having the 427 and the Gardiner Expressway so close at hand certainly makes life easier for residents of 56 Annie Craig Dr. The former is ideal for anyone planning to head north up to the 401 or Pearson International Airport, while the latter can be used to reach the city centre in no time.
