Residents have plenty of options for dining, between the Danforth to the north and all the popular eateries along Queen East and Dundas East. However, if residents prefer to cook for themselves, they can easily visit the nearby markets in East Chinatown, or the large TNT Supermarket, just south of Lake Shore Boulevard off Cherry Street.
A number of parks are a located within walking distance, including Corktown Common, Joel Weeks Park, Bruce Mackey Park, and Riverdale Park. Between the last two on the list, residents have access to skating rinks, baseball diamonds, dog parks, tennis courts and a recreation centre.
Several schools also service the area around 625 Queen East, such as Queen Alexandra Public School, SEED Alternative School, Degrassi Community School, St. Paul Catholic School, Nelson Mandela Park Public School, Eastdale Collegiate, and Riverdale Collegiate.
Transportation
Whether walking, biking, or riding public transit, the location of the Edge Lofts makes moving around easy for residents. There's a TTC stop just outside the building’s entrance, and streetcars can be ridden along Queen East, Dundas East, and Broadview Avenue.
Alternatively, drivers will relish the fact that the Don Valley Parkway is so close, which can be easily accessed from 625 Queen East. From here, reaching the Gardiner Expressway or the 401 is straightforward as can be.
