The Mansions of Humberwood II Condos makes up one half of a condominium complex on Humberwood Boulevard; the other half being Mansions of Humberwood. Completed in 2008, 700 Humberwood Boulevard was the second of the two neighbouring towers to be built by Tridel.
With 471 Etobicoke condos throughout the building, 700 Humberwood Blvd has quite a sizeable population. The 29-storey tower also contains plenty of communal spaces in which residents can gather, including a party room, a billiards room, a gym, an indoor swimming pool, and a tennis court. What’s more, residents have access to a concierge, underground parking, guest suites, a sauna, and a terrace.
The Suites
Not all of the homes at 700 Humberwood Blvd are mansions, per se, but some units in the building do cover as much as 1,500 square feet. Condo seekers can expect to find everything from one bedroom to three bedroom plus den units, allowing a diverse crowd to call the Mansions of Humberwood II home.
Aesthetically speaking, homes in the building are decidedly contemporary, without being ultra-modern. Clean lines and open concept layouts are prevalent throughout the building, as are bright, sunny windows.
The Neighbourhood
The Mansions of Humberwood II is perfect for nature lovers, as the building backs onto the Humber River and the many parks that line its banks. So while Rexdale, West Humber, and Clairville isn’t predominantly made up of green space, residents living at 700 Humberwood Blvd might think otherwise.
As for indoor attractions in the area, residents can choose between Casino Woodbine and the more family-friendly Woodbine Mall. The latter is even home to an indoor amusement park known as Fantasy Fair. Cinephiles also visit this mall in order to watch the latest Hollywood hits at Imagine Cinemas, while those who are interested in Bollywood films are better off at Albion Cinemas at Kipling and Finch.
With Rexdale, West Humber, and Clairville being as diverse as it is, residents have the option to do their grocery shopping at specialty food stores that stock interesting items from around the globe. Panchavati Supermarket is a popular Indian grocery store just off Highway 27, while those in search of West Indian ingredients can head to Karabian Zone on Brandon Gate Drive.
Transportation
Thanks to its location just east of the 427, drivers living at 700 Humberwood Blvd have no trouble getting around the city. This north-south highway is useful for those heading up to the 401, as well as for drivers heading south toward the Gardiner Expressway and eventually the downtown core. Best of all, the drive to Pearson International Airport takes less than 10 minutes, saving international travellers both time and money.
Residents without access to vehicles of their own, on the other hand, have plenty of options for reaching destinations throughout Etobicoke, downtown Toronto, and the rest of the city. The 37 Humberwood bus, which stops right outside 700 Humberwood, carries passengers toward Islington Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Alternatively, the 36 Finch West bus can be used to reach Finch West station on the University-Spadina line.
