About 73 Oriole Gardens — Starrcoll
The Starrcoll Condos sits tucked away on a serene tree-lined street in the charming Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood. And yet the condominium at 73 Oriole Gardens also offers its residents access to an exciting commercial scene in midtown Toronto, between Avenue Road and Yonge Street and north of St. Clair.
Converted from apartment buildings after a 2007 renovation, the Starrcoll Condos is a traditionally elegant, 3-storey structure. The low-rise stature allowed the edifice to complement the private residents next door without overpowering them, however 73 Oriole Gardens features some distinctively modern accents as well such as grand bay windows surrounded by detailed trim.
At the centre of the Starrcoll Condos is an open space where the main entrance can be found, adorned with a transparent roof that gives the building another touch of contemporary style. Lush greenery leads the way toward the atrium, where the concierge service is stationed.
Additionally, those living at 73 Oriole Gardens have access to an extensive array of amenities. This includes a well-equipped exercise room, a swimming pool, a sauna, guest suites, a cozy private cinema, common outdoor barbecues, and ample parking — plus a car wash.
The Suites
The Starrcoll Condos is a true boutique building, containing just 15 suites. Prospective buyers can expect to find one bedroom Toronto condos for sale that span between 600 and 700 square feet, plus some two bedroom floor plans as well. Although the suites don’t come with balconies, they do feature sun-filled solariums. These sunny spaces, along with the large windows spread throughout, introduce an abundance of natural light into these homes.
The bright and airy atmosphere flows well throughout the condos, courtesy of open-concept floor plans and complemented by warm hardwood flooring. Finally, the kitchens at 73 Oriole Gardens are particularly inviting. Many feature breakfast bars with granite countertops, classic cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances.
The Neighbourhood
Located in the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood, at the corner of Oriole Gardens and Oriole Road, the streets immediately surrounding the building mostly consist of private homes, as well as the elite private school Upper Canada College. Thankfully, though, Oriole Gardens leads to a vibrant shopping district just down the street.
Less than a ten-minute walk from their homes, residents can find a well-established shopping scene south of the Lawton Parkette around the intersection of Yonge and St. Clair. The area is also home to a thriving midtown business district, where an eclectic array of eateries caters to workers in suits and residents taking a stroll on their day off.
Transportation
Getting around the city is easy for those living in the Starrcoll Condos. For one, drivers enjoy the fast-pace of midtown Toronto’s wider streets. They’ll get to know Oriole Parkway in particular, and not just because its name is so similar to their own street: Oriole Parkway leads drivers north to Avenue Road, and eventually the 401, with the entire journey often taking only about fifteen minutes from 73 Oriole Gardens.
Alternatively, for those who prefer public transit, residents can walk to St. Clair Station, situated at the nearby intersection of Yonge and St. Clair. And when destinations are east and west of home, the 512 St. Clair Streetcar proves convenient. It heads along St. Clair West, connecting riders to two subway stations at Yonge and at Bathurst: St. Clair and St. Clair West, respectively.
