The most Italian thing about the Treviso Condos—aside from the name, of course—has to be its Venice-inspired landscaping. Designed by Nak Design Strategies, the outdoor spaces at 800 Lawrence Avenue West are complete with canals and bridges.
But the canals aren’t the only water feature at Treviso Condos: the building also boasts an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. Other amenities include a party room with kitchen, dining area, and lounge, a meeting room, a games room, and guest suites. Residents also have access to a gym with his and hers change rooms and a sauna, plus there’s a concierge to watch over the building and lend a hand when need be.
The Treviso Condos is one of three buildings in Lanterra Developments’ Treviso complex, and the first to be built, in 2015. The building rises to 22 storeys and contains 435 units, and was designed by the award-winning firm Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects. In fact, this building was so in demand that it warranted 2 more: Treviso II Condos and Residenze Palazzo Treviso III.
The Suites
None of the Toronto condos for sale at Treviso are particularly huge — in fact, there are even some ultra-compact units for those who don’t need all that much space. The building is made up of studio, one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, two bedroom, two bedroom plus den, and three bedroom units, with sizes ranging from 300 to 1,200 square feet.
Condo seekers interested in 800 Lawrence Ave West can expect to find high-performance laminate, porcelain, or ceramic flooring, as well as stainless steel appliances, including Energy Star fridges and dishwashers.
The Neighbourhood
They don’t call it the Yorkdale and Glen Park neighbourhood for nothing: many residents living here consider Yorkdale Shopping Centre a second home. Opened in 1964, this indoor mall is home to over 250 stores, an enormous food court, dine-in restaurants, and a movie theatre.
The Treviso Condos is also situated near plenty of stores that make life easier for its residents. There’s a Shoppers Drug Mart right next door, as well as Fortinos, Canadian Tire, and PetSmart in Lawrence Square Shopping Centre. Other great options for groceries can be found in a plaza a few blocks south: Lady York Foods is an Italian grocery store where residents can find imported cheeses and olives, as well as the usual staples; right next door is City Fish Market, one of Toronto’s best spots for fresh seafood.
Residents living in Yorkdale and Glen Park soon come to forget that Italian isn’t Canada’s second language. Transportation
Living at Treviso Condos means having the University-Spadina subway line, the 401, and the Allen Expressway all within close reach. Residents who prefer not to drive can reach the former by walking for just 10 minutes, or they can catch a bus from the corner of Dufferin and Lawrence in order to shave a few minutes off of their journey. Once at Lawrence West, residents can ride the subway as far north as Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, or they can use this subway line to reach the downtown core in no time.
As for drivers living at Treviso Condos, the 401 is accessible via Dufferin, and can be used to reach destinations throughout North York, Scarborough, and Mississauga, as well as other cities altogether. The Allen, on the other hand, comes in handy for anyone who wants to head south in a hurry.
