About 812 Lansdowne AvenueUpside Down Condos II

As Dovercourt & Wallace Emerson-Junction experiences its Renaissance and evolves to new levels of vibrancy, Neudorfer Corporation’s development 812 Lansdowne Avenue is a refreshing new opportunity for prospective buyers. Seeking to offer a different perspective on urban residential development, the Upside Down Condos’ second phase focuses on fostering a diverse, active community with accessible suites at affordable prices.

Nonetheless, standing at 13-storeys (one less than the complex’s first phase), the Upside Down Condos 2 is an attractive building. Completed in 2014, Channington Developments collaborated with Burka Architects for its brilliant design. While the majority of 812 Lansdowne’s bright mid-rise tower is composed of classically structured tiers, enormous glass window-wall sections emphasize how remarkably modern this development truly is.

Inside, the building offers an attractive array of amenities to its residents. For entertaining friends and family, the condo contains a games room, a cinema, and a lounge with a kitchen and even its own bar.

When residents want to work up a sweat, 812 Lansdowne’s fitness centre is fully equipped and contains separate change rooms. Afterwards, unwinding in the Upside Down Condos 2’s sauna proves to be a lavish and therapeutic end to any workout routine.

    The Suites

There are 303 Toronto condos found at 812 Lansdowne. Created with a diverse variety of prospective residents in mind, young professionals and couples in particular, there are one and two bedroom suites with the option of a den or media room as well.

Though the sizes of the homes span approximately 500 to 900 square feet, the efficiently designed, open-concept homes all feel spacious. Moreover, residents’ living spaces extend onto their expansive balconies and patios, which look out over the charming Davenport Village.

Inside, suites feel modern, thanks to a fresh atmosphere courtesy of large windows. Residents will be excited to host their friends and family in their homes, especially considering their gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and cabinetry with either a classic maple or oak, or chic white veneer.

And while units here might have higher price tags than other condos in the neighbourhood, these suites are generally more affordable than most downtown Toronto condos for sale.

    The Neighbourhood

At the corner of Lansdowne and Dupont Street, residents of the Upside Down Condos II live in the historic Davenport Village. This community initially developed around a railway factory formerly along Foundry Avenue. Though today that industry is long gone, the community has reclaimed the space and successfully opened up an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. Residents have also fought, passionately and successfully, for the city’s development of public green space in the area.

The enormous Davenport Village Park along Foundry Avenue is just a short walk north of 812 Lansdowne. With many trees and shrubs planted, a playground raised, and walkways laid-down, part of the former railway factory’s grounds have become a truly unique place where the industrial and the natural meet beautifully.

When residents of the Upside Down Condos II need to run errands, a FreshCo, an LCBO, a bakery and much more can be conveniently found at the Galleria Shopping Centre. This spot is a short walk around the corner on Dupont and east of Emerson Avenue.

    Transportation

Getting around the city from 812 Lansdowne is easy, especially for those who usually drive. Traffic moves quickly in the area and because of its fast pace, accessing highways takes no time at all. The 401, which is north of the Upside Down Condos 2, often takes about 15 minutes to reach, and getting onto the Gardiner Expressway by heading south on Lansdowne to Jameson Avenue can take less than ten minutes on a good day.

Though residents who prefer public transit can still easily get around the city with ease when leaving from the Upside Down Condos 2. Walking to Lansdowne TTC Station on Bloor Street, where they can hop onto the subway, takes only around ten minutes.

Alternatively, the 87 Lansdowne bus happens to stop nearby, at the corner of Lansdowne and Dupont. This route carries passengers from Queen Street West all the way uptown to Yorkdale Mall. On a particularly rainy or snowy day, residents can use the 87 bus to reach Lansdowne Station quickly and without any hassle.
