About 120 Harrison Garden Boulevard — Aristo At Avonshire Condos
We always have a good feeling about condos built by Tridel. After all, this is a developer that has been around since the 1930s, and is responsible for the construction of around 80,000 homes. Tridel’s 2014 project at 120 Harrison Garden Boulevard is known as the Aristo at Avonshire Condos, and this pair of buildings certainly lives up to the developer’s reputation.
Kirkor Architect + Planners is responsible for the architecture of Aristo At Avonshire Condos, which features glass, glass, and more glass. The building contains 472 Toronto condos spread out over 21 storeys, as well as amenities and common spaces designed by Munge Leung Design Associates. The lobby, for example, is elegant yet eclectic, and clad in natural limestone, wood, onyx, bronzed glass, and chrome.
As for the amenities available at 120 Harrison Garden Blvd, residents can hang out in the games room, party room, or theatre. There’s also the option to have a cookout, as the building’s terrace is equipped with barbecues. As for those who want to stay active, not only is there a gym at Aristo at Avonshire, but also an indoor pool and sauna. Even guests of residents are accounted for, as there’s a concierge to greet them as well as guest suites in which they can rest their heads.
The Suites
These North York condos range from around 500 to 1,000 square feet. Some are studios, while others contain one bedroom, one bedroom plus a den, two bedrooms, two bedrooms plus a den, and even three bedrooms. Regardless of size, suites throughout the building boast premium plank laminate floating flooring, quartz or granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, Energy Star washers and dryers, and balconies.
The Neighbourhood
We’d be hard pressed to find an intersection that’s changed more in recent years than Yonge and Sheppard. Condo towers have gone up like crazy, along with the retail businesses that serve the residents living within them. Today, residents living at 120 Harrison Garden Blvd get to enjoy the best of both worlds: their homes are tucked away on a residential street in Willowdale, yet they’re only a 10-minute walk away from Yonge and Sheppard.
Along Yonge Street, residents can find everything from attractions to date-worthy restaurants and even a handful of grocery stores. Those in search of organic goods can head to Whole Foods, while ingredients imported from Asia can be found at M2M, a Korean Grocery Store at the Corner of Yonge and Greenfield. Then there’s the recently renovated Yonge and Sheppard Centre, which contains a food court, numerous banks, and plenty of shops.
Transportation
Travelling to and from Aristo at Avonshire is easy, whether residents prefer to drive or ride the TTC. In fact, those who prefer the latter will want to make use of the building’s free shuttle service, which carries passengers to the Sheppard-Yonge subway station. Once here, residents of 120 Harrison Garden Blvd have the choice to ride east along the Sheppard line or south down the Yonge line toward the downtown core.
Drivers, on the other hand, benefit from the building’s close proximity to the 401. After using the Yonge Street on ramp, residents heading out by car can ride east toward the Don Valley Parkway or west to the Allen Road, Pearson International Airport, or the 427.
